I was able to pack boots, a few days of ski clothes and all my outerwear and accessories in the bag. And didn’t have to carry all that weight on my back. Easily fitoverhead. So great not to have to worry if the boots and ski clothes will make it to baggage claim.
The roller bag nicely fits my boots, socks goggles, gloves, bib, jacket, thermals, and a sweater. I'm a size 10 shoe (boot) and my boots fit with little room to spare. A much larger foot (boot) might struggle. My helmet does attach securely as well, but there are no upper hooks (as I interpreted from the picture would be there) so the helmet fits behind rather than on top. The bag rolls very easily and the zippers all seem to be heavy-duty. It seems to be a very high-quality bag.
This has been an awesome bag. Really enjoying using it.
I’ve been an avid skier for 35 years, and finally got tired of schlepping my heavy ski boots and helmet etc on my shoulder. My ski bag has wheels. My check in baggage has wheels. So why didn’t my boot/helmet bag have likewise? Truthfully, I shoulda asked myself this logical question several years and several pinched nerves ago. As for the Diamant carry on itself, two words… It’s excellent. After much research, I bought “The XL” and I’m 100% satisfied with the purchase. It’s extremely well designed with a skier in mind, and it’s ruggedly well constructed like a ski bag should be. As an aside, handles and wheels sometimes break on a bag, but I’m happy to say that these features are solid on the Diamant, as are the zippers. I go out of my way to write positive reviews on excellent merchandise I purchase to benefit the user and the manufacturer. To the user... I recommend this product! To the maker… nice job!Hooah! Haven’t actually taken it on the airplane yet, but just packed it up. Fits my boots with room to spare. I was also able to fit: 2 prs ski socks, 2 gaiters, underwear, ski shell, ski bib, base layer, 2 midlayers, goggles, mittens. Will probably add a few packs of handwarmers. I did attach my helmet via the canopy and while it works, here is the reason for the 1 star off-the hooks to secure the canopy in the zippered compartment are difficult to get in place even with my small fingers. I wish the canopy was permanently attached at the top within the zippered pouch but had the 2 hooks at the bottom left the same. I think this would be more secure and still allow for the canopy to tuck into the top zippered pouch but would avoid the hooks inside from coming undone inadvertently. Lastly, I think the helmet will need to come out of the canopy when carried onto plane to fit in overhead compartment. Would be OVER 5 stars if there was some way to keep the size the same but allow for the helmet to be carried inside the bag without sacrificing too much inside space. Other than this one small issue, the bag seems solid. Will update after Breck trip.
